Knowledge Broker pride!

It is with immense pride that Friends of Chitambo reports on our Knowledge Broker course leader, Mrs Mercy Monde's presentation yesterday at the 24th Standing Conference of Eastern, Central and Southern African Library and Information Conference Associations (SCESCAL), Namibia. Mrs Monde is Senior Medical Librarian at the University of Zambia. Her paper is titled "Buliding Capacity for African Librarians to become Knowledge Brokers through a Knowledge Broker Learning Programme."
This work was initiated as part of the Chitambo Emergency Care project funded by Scottish Government. This includes an informational component with an emergency care resource centre (print and digital resources) at Chitambo Hospital, and Knowledge Broker support to help frontline clinicians leverage this information into action, for emergency care decision making.
Mrs Monde has published 2 related papers in the Journal of Health Information and Librarianship. We commend her, and the whole Knowledge Broker team, led by Dr AnnWales, Programme Lead, Knowledge and Decision Support, DHI, Scotland, for this work.
